Timberkits Beam Engine
I like live steam engine models and I like constructing kits. But I'm not a machinist. So I'm always on the lookout for pre-machined kits that only require final assembly. That's how I stumbled across this wooden Beam Engine model from Timberkits. Obviously a steam engine made of wood can't actually run on steam. But it's the mechanical movement I find interesting, so a hand cranked wood model suits me just fine.
Turns out that Timberkits offers a wide range of automata models featuring people, animals and machinery. These kits have become a whole separate interest for me (just what I need, another hobby). Here's a link to the Timberkits section of my website.
